Specialized in conveying plastic bottles, plastic pellets, recycled plastics, scrap, trimmings and small materials in factories, the In-Duct Static Eliminator reduces the build-up of static electricity in the discharge end hopper and collection system, and deals with static electricity problems that can lead to snagging in ducts. The unit is usually mounted at the input end of a cyclone or separator so that the material eliminates the static electricity from the top of the material when it passes through it.

The Problem:

Highly charged trimmings were sticking to both sides of the trim collection system cyclone, causing blockage of the entire outlet duct. As a result, the trim collection system has to be shut down for cleaning, which affects the entire trim recycling operation.

After installation

The trimmings do not stick to the hopper, they all fall into the collection bag and there is no more blockage problem.
